After a few drinks in the Woolshed last night Justin’s tent took a walk into the middle of the road, which entertained the rest of us but Justin wasn’t happy when he returned to camp.
This morning we all gathered and cruised along to Urunga to the Honey Pot where they laid on a delicious morning tea. The boys where drooling over one of the Barn doors and after they opened the engine lid we didn’t think we would get them back on the cruise! On we went to Coffs Harbour for a photo shoot at the Big Banana, we had 43 VW’s and the sun was shining which was a pleasant change after the cold the day before. We all went our separate ways and stocked up on supplies before heading back to camp.
Jo and Andrew were set back up, we got ourselves set up and settled down to chill out. We got a visit from a couple of guys asking how long we were staying as we were camped where they park their cars and put up their gazebo. Donna came over and we went for a walk to look at other options where we could camp. We found a nice little spot with views of the creek so did a quick re location.
Tonight we met Craig & Jane from Queensland who will be travelling to WA after Valla and will join us on the trip back. We’re staying in camp for dinner tonight.

Our new home at Valla
After an early dinner at the tavern we retired to the fire pit to light the fire that Jan had scrimmaged around for wood for earlier. Dave swears he saw a really impressive shooting star but Jamie reckons it was Andrew laser light, we will never know. A bit more star watching then it was an early night to try and catch up on some missed sleep.
When we were preparing for the trip I kept being told how cold it was going to be so we have lots of warm clothes coats and blankets, what we didn’t prepare for was heat and last night was so hot the kombi was like an oven no blankets required! I spent the night getting up opening the door to try and get some cool air in then closing it every time the rain started!!
First morning went as planned and we left camp at 8.30 heading to Tamworth.
We took the tourists routes and enjoyed the scenery along the way.

Tonight’s camp definitely going to be a cold one tonight.
